Although it was a mistake, there has been interest from McDonald’s fans all over the world for the “McDualSense” to be officially sold. That may never happen as Sony is notorious for shutting down third-party hardware manufacturers, but it doesn’t seem entirely out of the question that some crossover could happen in the future given the proper clearances. The McDonald’s controller has also given fans a taste of what other fast food companies might be able to design if given free rein over the DualSense controller.

Dunkin'
Krispy Kreme made headlines last week for dipping its toes into the console market with Krispy Kreme/Xbox crossover donuts, but that doesn’t mean that Dunkin’ wouldn’t be able to design a killer DualSense controller. The stark dual-color designs of most of the Dunkin’ marketing would be perfect for the double-horned hand grips of the DualSense. Splitting the controller straight down the middle with the classic orange and pink colors that Dunkin’ is known for would leave quite the impression. Pair that with a decal of Dunkin’s running man logo on the touchpad and the controller would likely be running off shelves.
Wingstop
Wingstop is a restaurant many visit to get chicken wings to fuel long gaming sessions, and its simple winged logo design would really make a statement if placed directly in the center of a custom PlayStation 5 controller. An all-green controller with the Wingstop logo printed on the touchpad in white, or the reversed Olympic white with a green printed logo, could be a must-have for any fan. The company could also make individual controller designs for its diverse library of wing sauces, each one capturing a different flavor and spice level.
Wendy’s
If Wendy’s were to make its own DualSense controller, it would most likely look pretty similar to the McDonald’s DualSense. The reason why it would be worth Wendy’s’ time to design a controller is based on the fact people are very attached to their preferred fast food burger eateries, so Wendy’s fans would probably jump on the opportunity to rep the brand. In concept, it would obviously tout the classic red-haired Wendy logo, and would likely feature one of its square-shaped burgers.
Taco Bell
The Taco Bell brand is no stranger to working with console manufacturers and selling merch. An entire clothing line was made in service of the fast food Mexican restaurant, so creating a DualSense controller seems like a logical next step. There are plenty of different designs featured on Taco Bell’s merch store that would look great plastered on a controller. From the Andy Warhol-inspired repeating logo design to just about anything from the Sauce Pack Collection, it’s clear Taco Bell would make a solid controller if the company were to be given the opportunity.
Kentucky Fried Chicken
It feels like a KFC and PS5 collaboration is only a matter of time. With the rise of the rumors surrounding the KFConsole, it seems like the KFC brand is going all-in with the gaming demographic, so it makes sense that the company might double down and design a controller for the PS5. KFC’s controller would probably feature the red-and-white stripes at the forefront of its brand, as well as a decal or two showing off Colonel Sanders’ head.
